Hello my name is Kelly Wood and I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist based in Richmond. I have 14 years of experience working in the NHS in a variety of different services.
I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in children, adolescents and young adults. I also have a keen interest in working with people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I adopt a caring and nurturing approach to help clients and their families to overcome the difficulties they are experiencing.
I am co-author/ co- illustrator of the book ‘Stand Up to OCD: A CBT Self-Help Guide and Workbook for Teens (By Kelly Wood & Douglas Fletcher). I enjoy incorporating creativity into my work and have found this to be particularly helpful for clients who are visual thinkers.

Research & Innovation
I am particularly interested in ethical and effective OCD treatment. I am currenting co-writing a paper on writing on how clinicians can support clients with racism-themed obsessions.
